Members Development Programme

OBJECTIVE

To provide support for the development of woodturning skills

 

Any Member may apply for a grant for any of the following four grant facilities

Subscription Grant

This is directed at people who are attracted to woodturning and who would welcome the opportunity of joining the AWGB to find out more about woodturning in the UK

 

Equipment Grant

This is for members who have a positive interest in woodturning and who would welcome the opportunity of trying out the craft using a loan lathe from the  AWGB before investing in their own equipment.

 

Training Grant

Having taken a serious interest in woodturning and having established themselves as a enthusiastic turners these scholarships would enable them to attend a specific workshop appropriate to their skills and interests.

 

Training Workshops

Members wishing to increase their turning skills may apply to attend a workshop with a limited number of other members with similar wishes. These workshops will be run using well known skilled turners as tutors wherever there is seen to be a real demand. Click HERE  for an applications form.

Seminar Scholarship

Application can also be made for a Seminar scholarship. Attendance at this event can add significantly to a delegates knowledge of turning techniques and support for this activity is yet another facet of the AWGB development programme.

Grants will be considered by the Executive Committee in March and October each year
