You will remember the recent ballot paper in your copy of Revolutions, and the important questions raised by it. I can now issue the results:
The total votes cast were 446, which is approx 15% of our membership.
For Motion A, to become a Company Limited by Guarantee, 433 (97.5%) in favour, 11 (2.5%) against.
For Motion B, to apply for Charitable status, 431 (96.7%) in favour, 14 (3.3%) against.
Robert Craig has been therefore instructed to submit papers to Companies House for the AWGB to become a Company and at the relevant time to apply for charitable status.
Thank you to all those who took the trouble to fill out the ballot and return it.
We will keep you updated as to the progression at the appropriate points throughout the process.

Weird and Wonderful Wood
12-05-2012
Pictures taken at the Weird and Wonderful Wood event held at Haughley Park in Suffolk this weekend 12th 13th May. What a wonderful event this was with every form of woodworking you can imagine from furniture to carving to woodturning to sculpture. There were also many activities involving wood, for children to take part in. A great day out.
